MBCCC's Show & Shine for All German Vehicles, held at The Foreshore, Newcastle, Australia, is the Club's premier event.

This one-day event takes place on the third Sunday in November each year. The next Show will be on Sunday 20 November 2011. The event is for both classic and modern cars, show cars or every day drivers, produced by German factories including Mercedes Benz, BMW, NSU, Borgward, Goggomobile, Volkswagen, Porsche, Audi and Messerschmitt.

The site is marvellously located alongside Newcastle's working harbour, one of the largest export ports in the world, in close proximity to Nobbys Beach, and to historic Fort Scratchley and the Customs House precinct. Some food is sold on site, and a wide variety of restaurants are within a pleasant short walk along the foreshore. Come and see some stunning vehicles, including some quite rare ones!

Bluetooth is a technology that allows your mobile phone to talk to other communication devices nearby. Basically it sets up its own personal area network or PAN with a high level of security without the need for cables. It can connect more than one device too.

In the car this means that you can connect your mobile phone to the car kit so that you can make and receive calls hands-free. This is obviously safer for driving. Many Bluetooth car kits automatically mute the volume on the car stereo when you receive an in-coming call. When the call is ended, the car kit automatically turns the volume back up. Most are designed to reduce noise, eliminate echo and produce quality sound for crystal clear calls, and some kits also have an LCD screen to show caller ID.

The kit usually connects to the car’s cigarette lighter and then it’s just a case of linking the phone to the kit with just the one phone number and sim.
